| cmi novacast inc. began as a result of its work for the French government-owned company Novatome, an engineering firm that developed nuclear power plants in France. The first electro-magnetic aluminum pump was developed as a spin-off of the liquid sodium pump used for power generation in the breeder reactors. | In 1975, the pump concept was brought to the United States through the efforts of Paul Gouwens. Paul recognized the value of this technology as having the ability to revolutionize the foundry industry. Three years later, Paul purchased the commercial rights to the pump from Novatome. | Our research and engineering activity has continued to improve and fine-tune the original technology of the pump system. Our commitment to our our customers is to deliver the most reliable, predictable and high performance low pressure or gravity casting system in the industry. |
