Components included in a standard PG series system are:
* Two PG-300 or two PG-450 Electromagnetic Liquid Metal Pumps
* Filter and Float
Includes one filter (SiC) and one flotation disk for filtering molten metal before it enters the pump.
* Heated Launder
This device is used at the discharge of the pump to deliver the molten metal to the desired location, maintaining desired temperature of the metal. Controls are located on the control system.
* Control System
This device is for controlling the power to the pump, heated launder, pump preheat oven, and pump cooling system.
* Pump Cooling System
This device is used to control the interior temperature of the pump. Controls are located on the control system.
* Pump Preheat Oven
This device is used to remove all moisture from pump ceramics and get the pump to operating temperature to avoid thermal shock. Oven controls are incorporated into the control system.
* Filter and Float Preheat Oven
This device is used to remove all moisture from filter and float assembly and get them up to operating temperature to avoid thermal shock.
* Pump Cool Down Box
This device is to be used after the pump is removed from the holding furnace. It slows heat loss from the pump, which extends the life of the ceramics.
* Pump Support (simple, non-motorized)
This device is to be bolted onto or near the existing furnace. It locates the pump in the furnace well. Special motorized version is also available at extra cost.
* Battery Backup Pump Cooling System (optional)
Includes a DC blower to be piped, in parallel, to standard pump cooling system. This unit will only supply minimal cooling air to the pump in the case of power failure. 12 volt DC battery not included.
